Sales from products sold via social networks will reach $23.3 billion in 2020, roughly $2 billion less than pre-pandemic estimates
Social commerce sales will continue to grow as social networks introduce new features and social buying reaches critical mass. Most notably, Facebook launched Shops during the pandemic, a feature that allows businesses on Facebook and Instagram to add a shopping tab to their pages. Pinterest, Snapchat and TikTok have also released new ad products and shopping features in the past year that further integrate ecommerce into these platforms.
